Suburban Utopia, An Infertile Place (SU4IP)
Lyndon Watkinson
Lyndon Watkinson (1999) is an artist, designer, writer, and musician based in Sheffield, UK. Democratising art and art context through artworks, publications, graphic design, articles, and sound. Creative director and founder of the online arts organisation SU4IP. His work is characterised by a desire for precision, often depicting aesthetics that celebrate and criticise the absurdity of corporatized identity, calling into question the necessity of creating false exteriors when what is not seen is often just as important.
In late 2020, a blog post entitled Suburban Utopia, An Infertile Place formed part of the wider inquiry and development of his practice for his bachelor's degree in fine art. As his work matured, he applied this term as a formalisation of his creative endeavours, later abbreviating it to SU4IP, now used as a digital alias and publishing entity.

About
Wiro Mag: Ghosts is a continuation of how art can critically engage a breadth of topics. In this edition, we explore how the supernatural, unknown, and ethereal can be visualised, explored, or challenged.
In a supernatural sense, ghosts exist primarily as a superstitious belief that the souls of individuals continue long after their bodies expire, often in spaces most associated with their actions in life.
Alternatively, ghosts also exist in a way that can be both proven and observed, such as the evidence humans leave behind on the landscape and urbanised areas alike, in addition to the minds of those that outlive us.
This publication is designed to artefact a snapshot in time never to be repeated again, underpinned by the works and ideas of seventeen artists from around the world that in some way, engage with the theme of ghosts.
As I invite you to explore the variety of different works overleaf, I hope that they allow the reader to contemplate the various ways ghosts influence people's daily lives, and how their persistent actions shape our everyday.
